Llandudno reserves go into their final 2 league games, having to win both games to make certain of promotion.
Team manager Victor Weldridge said " we have come through a sticky patch losing 2 league games in a row, but have now got back on track with excellent performances winning our last 2 games and looking back over the season, I'm very pleased with the lads. We have a young side who want to do well, with 5 - 6 of the team playing for the first team on occations. On a lesser note, we've lost Con Tierney, our top scorer and Danny Ashe, his striking partner, who will both be out for the season, Con Tierney having a serious injury and could be out for up to 6 months, we wish them both a speedy recovery".
Our next game is Llandudno Junction away on 16th April, Kick off at 6:30pm and we would like all Llandudno FC supporters to come along to show their support. I would like to thank everyone whos supported us this season, the lads have really appreciated it. Our faith is in our hands, win or lose - no excuses
Latest News :12th Apr 08 Friendly V Mochdre 1 - 1.
Many thanks to our friendly rivals Mochdre, playing us at such short notice, it gave the lads a chance to compete a Clwyd Premier team, who are holding their own in the leagues top division, we wish them well as the season closes.
The game was enjoyable to watch as Mochdre are a good footballing team, who like ourselves, consentrate on total football, unlike a number of teams who we've played this season. On a negative note, Gaz Morris had to go to hospital for an x-ray and looks like joining our long casualty list. It was nice to see Shaheen Amhed (Twinney) lasting a full game after a groin injury.
Two second half goals, the first from Mochdre, the second from our Monty (Mark) with a lob from long distance, we finished the game with 9 men, Ray Lee and Gal Evo having to come off injured, Bobby Gale made his debut and worked hard, mostly on his own up-front.
On Wednesday we are away to Llandudno Jct in a big game for us as we still need 3 points from our last 2 games to gain promotion and still an excellent chance to win the league. All I can guarantee to the club and supporters is that we are ready and prepared for the challanges ahead.
